Lions Clubs International is the world’s largest service club organization with 1.35 million members in more than 45,000 clubs worldwide. Founded in 1917, Lions are best known for fighting blindness. Lions also
volunteer for many different kinds of community projects, including caring for the environment, feeding the hungry and aiding seniors and the disabled. The Lions Club motto is “We Serve.”

This organization has donated 285,969 books. They have been implementing the project since 2002-2003, with at least 340 clubs/sections participating in the project. They have donated to over 1,112 school(s) nationwide!

So far in 2012-2013, they have donated 32,912 books, giving to students in over 429 schools, and with about 131 clubs participating.
